The Chandelier; The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

It's a Light Fixture and a Bar ... Will Wonders Never Cease???

The Cosmopolitan is one of the newest additions to the Vegas Strip and it's a different kind of place altogether. Playful, contemporary, shiny, and downright weird there appears to be something here for everyone. Jason and I wandered in one night at the suggestion of our aunt and that's how we found The Chandelier ... not that it would be easy to miss. It's a multi-level spectacle that actually houses three different bars / lounges surrounded by curtains of illuminated crystal beads that really give the illusion of a chandelier.

On our last day in Vegas we re-visited the Cosmopolitan just so we could hang out at The Chandelier for a bit. We chose the Top of the Chandelier, which is a dark, comfy lounge at the pinnacle of the bar. There were two others to chose from: Inside the Chandelier (middle level featuring cocktails and a very shiny bar); and The Bottom of the Chandelier (casino level, featuring booze and loud music). Because it was fairly early in the day we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a relaxing drink and some great local conversation with our bartender and waitress.

Jason ordered a Hot Mule - Hangar One Spiced Pear, Ginger Beer, Angostura Bitters, and Housemade Ginger Syrup; and I ordered a Misty Rose - Hendrick's Gin, St. Germain Liqueur, and Rose Nectar. Two of the best drinks we had on a day filled with some damn fine drinks! They were reasonably priced, too, considering that we were in the heart of the Vegas Strip; $10 per drink and they were well made and generously poured.

Check out the random pictures below, which just don't do the place justice. You have got to check this place out on your own the next time Vegas is on your travel itinerary.

We are staying at the Chandelier in October and know where to have a great drink at reasonable prices. Thank you very much. Now off to read more on your site regarding dining as I know when it comes to Vegas The Gastropod is the place for up to date dining information.
